Privacy Policy.

What we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, and how to get it back or make it go away. Most of our users are teenagers and their parents, so we tried to write this the way we’d want it explained to us.

HustlPlay is a recruiting workspace for women’s college soccer, operated by [HustlPlay, LLC] in [Colorado]. This policy covers hustlplay.com, the signed-in app, public player profile pages, and the emails we send. It goes with our Terms of Service.

The short version: we collect what’s needed to run your recruiting, we share it only with the services that make the product work, we never sell it, and you can ask us to export or delete it whenever you want.

01Who this is for, and age limits

HustlPlay is used by high-school-age players and their parents. You must be 13 or older to have an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and we don’t direct the service at them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email hello@hustlplay.com and we’ll delete it.

Players under 18 need a parent or guardian’s permission to use HustlPlay. Parents can create a linked parent account that shows the player’s profile, target schools, and progress. A parent account never shows the player’s email threads with coaches; that stays between the player and the coach.

02What we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We don’t receive or store your Google password.

Profile information you enter. Grad year, position, club team, high school, GPA, test scores, height, dominant foot, accolades, the schools you’re targeting, your negotiables (what you want in a program), and similar fields. You choose what to fill in.

Your recruiting email address. During setup you give us a dedicated email address (we suggest a fresh Gmail) that coach replies are delivered to. We store it and use it as the reply address on emails you send.

Emails you send to coaches. When you compose and send an email through HustlPlay, we store the recipient, subject, and body so you can see your history school by school.

Open, click and reply events. Emails you send include a small tracking image and tracked links. When a coach opens the email or clicks a link, our email provider tells us, and we record the event with a timestamp so you can see it in Communication. Replies go to a HustlPlay reply address first so we can mark the thread as answered; we store the reply’s sender and a short preview (about the first 240 characters, quoted history removed) and forward the full message to your recruiting inbox.

Video links. Links to your highlights on Hudl, YouTube, PlayMetrics, or similar. We never host or copy the video itself. If someone watches through a tracked link we record that a view happened.

Calendar events and notes. ID camps, showcases, calls, and any notes you write about a school or coach.

Ask the Recruiting Pro questions. If you use that add-on, the questions you ask and the answers you get, which HustlPlay staff read to reply.

Billing. Your plan, billing interval, and subscription status. Payments go through Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, timestamps) and in-app actions like which pages you open, used to keep the service running and find bugs. We don’t run third-party advertising trackers.

03How we use it

  • To run the product: build your profile, score programs, send and track your emails, keep your history.
  • To show parents a player’s progress in a linked parent account.
  • To answer your Ask the Recruiting Pro questions.
  • To bill you and handle plan changes.
  • To send you our own emails: a weekly summary of your recruiting activity, reports you schedule, and account and billing notices. You can turn the summary and reports off on the Reports page in the app, or email us and we’ll stop them.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
  • To understand how people use HustlPlay in aggregate so we can improve it.

We do not use your emails to coaches, your notes, or your profile to train AI models, and we don’t use them for advertising.

04What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s advertising.
  • We never email coaches except the messages you write and choose to send. No automatic follow-ups, no bulk blasts on your behalf.
  • We never put your phone number or personal email on a public profile page.
  • We never host or repost your highlight video.

05Your public recruiting profile

You can turn on a public page at hustlplay.com/v/your-name to share with coaches. It’s off by default. When it’s on, anyone with the link can view it: your name, grad year, position, club, school, academics you’ve chosen to show, and highlight links. It never shows your phone number, personal email address, or your coach conversations.

Search engines may index a public page if the link gets shared. You can turn it off at any time from your profile page, and it stops being visible right away.

06Coach and school data

HustlPlay includes a directory of college programs and coaching staff. That information comes from public sources: college athletics websites, the NCAA directory, and the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard. It’s professional contact information for people in public coaching roles, not personal data about our users. Coach emails and phone numbers are shown only to paying subscribers. If you’re a coach and want your listing corrected or removed, email hello@hustlplay.com.

07Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the service providers that run HustlPlay, and only what each one needs to do its job:

  • Supabase — our database and authentication, hosted in the United States. Everything you store in HustlPlay lives here.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and app and processes standard request logs.
  • Resend — delivers the emails you send to coaches and the notifications we send to you, and reports opens, clicks, and inbound replies back to us.
  • Stripe — processes payments and stores your card. Stripe’s privacy policy governs what they keep.
  • Google — sign-in. Google tells us who you are; we don’t get access to your Gmail or other Google data.

Beyond that, we share data when the law requires it (a valid subpoena, for example), to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or merger of HustlPlay, in which case this policy continues to apply and we’ll tell you. The coaches you email receive what you send them, of course, including your name, your recruiting email address, and whatever you put in the message.

08How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists so your recruiting history is there when you need it, including if you drop back to the Free plan. When you delete your account we delete your profile, emails, events, notes, and calendar within 30 days. Copies in backups age out within 90 days after that. We may keep billing records as long as tax and accounting rules require, and anonymized usage statistics that no longer identify you.

09Your choices and rights

You can edit most of your data directly in the app. For anything else, email hello@hustlplay.com from the address on your account and we will:

  • Export a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Delete your account and the personal data in it.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Answer questions about what we hold and why.

We respond within 30 days, and we don’t treat you differently for asking. A parent or guardian can make these requests for a player under 18.

Email notifications. You can turn off the weekly summary and scheduled reports on the Reports page in the app, or unsubscribe by emailing hello@hustlplay.com. We’ll still send the account and billing notices you need.

10California and other state privacy rights

If you live in California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. This policy is how we tell you. Section 9 is how you use them.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. We don’t use “sensitive” personal information for anything other than running the service. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing even though we don’t do either. If we deny a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our response.

11Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every user table in our database is protected by row-level security, so one account cannot read another account’s data, and coach contact details are gated by plan. Only a small number of HustlPlay staff have administrative access, and they use it to support you and keep the directory accurate. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we’ll tell you promptly and as the law requires.

12Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We don’t use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on our own site. The tracking pixel and links in the emails you send to coaches are described in section 2; they tell you about the coach’s activity, not ours about you.

13Where your data lives

HustlPlay is built for players in the United States and our providers store data there. If you use the service from elsewhere, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

14Changes to this policy

When we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll email account holders and update the date at the top. Smaller wording updates just change the date. Prior versions are available on request.
